Our duly prepared young people are receiving Jesus sacramentally for the first time and we are all glad we can celebrate it with them. It is also a time for adults to examine our faith and sacramental life. The preparation with which we celebrate the sacraments and using the grace of the sacraments we grow in our life spiritually and as disciples of Jesus in the world. This life should enable us to love and serve the people God has placed in our lives. May we all approach the altar of God with great devotion and piety.

I congratulate all those who are receiving first Holy communion and pray for them and their families to continue to journey in the ways of the Lord.
